What we do
Community Building
Building community for bi+ people is crucial to improving wellbeing. We create bi+ specific spaces, where people have an opportunity to strengthen connections with one another and share stories about lived experiences. Much of what we do in this space includes peer support.
Education
Bi+ issues are unique and distinct from broader LGBTQIA+ experiences. Bi-erasure and biphobia commonly influence experiences that bi+ people have. Sydney Bi+ Network seeks to provide education that breaks down stigmas, myths, and misconceptions surrounding the bi+ community.

Bi+ Visibility Recognised in Parliament
Sydney Bi+ Network had the opportunity to work with independent member for Sydney Alex Greenwich in his speech to the NSW's Parliament on 21 September 2023. As far as we are aware it's the first time Bi+ Visibility Day has been referenced in NSW parliament.
2023 NSW State Election Priorities
This call for action details the key issues identified by bi+ people across NSW through community consultation held in 2022 and early 2023. It also includes existing evidence demonstrating the current state of health, wellbeing and human rights for bi+ people. Throughout consultation, bi+ people have also highlighted the role of intersecting oppression and harm on their experiences. This includes but isn’t limited to, racism, ableism, cisnormativity, and gender inequality. This insight supports addressing key issues through an intersectional framework. Key issue areas include:
Cost of living
Access to secure and affordable housing
Access to safe, compassionate, and effective healthcare services
Climate Change
Biphobia and Bi+ erasure, including in LGBTIQA+ communities
Ending conversion practices
NSW Anti-Discrimination Act
Protecting the health and human rights of intersex people
